Where your LES comes from
Marine Online (MCTFS). Marines pull their LES from Marine Online (MOL). Marine pay runs on MCTFS, the Marine Corps Total Force System, so the statement layout differs from the DFAS myPay format the other branches use, but the same pays, deductions, and rules apply.
Marine Corps-specific gotchas
- Because MCTFS is its own system, unit admin (your S-1 or IPAC) is your first stop for pay corrections, not a DFAS call center. Bring documents: orders, NAVMC forms, lease, marriage or divorce paperwork.
- The layout names differ but map to the same concepts: your statement still shows entitlements, deductions, allotments, leave balances, and TSP. Every code page on this site applies to Marines even where the block label differs slightly.
- Promotion months are the classic Marine pay error window: the rank updates in one system before the other. Confirm the pay grade your Basic Pay is computed from the month you pin on.
The five lines to check every month
- BASE PAY: Basic Pay errors almost always happen at a promotion or when your Pay Entry Base Date is recorded wrong.
- BAH: BAH is the number one source of real pay errors.
- CR BAL: This is the number to plan vacations and terminal leave around.
- DEBT: You have rights here.
- REMARKS: Read the remarks every single month.
