What happens to your LES when you upload it

Your file is held in server memory only long enough to read the numbers off it, which takes a few seconds. It is never written to disk, never stored in a database, never used for anything except generating the report you see. When your report renders, the file is gone. We cannot retrieve it afterward even if you ask us to, because it does not exist anywhere.

What we do not collect

No accounts. No names. No Social Security numbers (modern statements mask them anyway). We do not sell, share, or retain personal data from statements.

If you ask us to email your report

When you type your email on the report page and hit send, we email you the report you are looking at and we keep that email address. If you check the alerts box, we also send you pay raise and BAH updates a few times a year. Unsubscribe anytime with one click. The statement you uploaded is still never stored either way.

Document reading

Statement parsing uses an automated document-reading service under its API terms; the document is transmitted for reading and is not used to train models per that service's paid and free API data policies. If you prefer not to upload at all, the 10-second manual checker on the homepage needs nothing but a pay grade and a number of years.

Standard anonymous page analytics only, to see which guides help people. Nothing tied to your identity or your documents.
