What this site is

CheckMyLES is a free educational tool that explains a military Leave and Earnings Statement in plain English and compares the values on it against published 2026 pay tables. By using the site you agree to these terms.

What this site is not

It is not legal, tax, or financial advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Department of Defense, DFAS, or any branch of the United States Armed Forces. Nothing here is an official pay determination.

Accuracy, and its limits

The 2026 pay, BAS and SGLI figures are taken from published official rates and cross-checked. The reading of your uploaded statement, however, is automated, and automated reading of a scanned or photographed document can be wrong. A result of "verified" is not a guarantee that your pay is correct, and a flag is not proof that it is wrong. Your finance office and myPay are the only authoritative sources. Always confirm before acting, and never make a financial decision on this site's output alone.

Uploaded documents are processed in memory and are never written to disk or stored. See the privacy page for detail. You are responsible for what you choose to upload, and you should not upload documents belonging to someone else without their permission.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to scrape, overload, reverse engineer, or interfere with the site or its automated reading service, and do not use it to process documents unlawfully.
