What it is
OHA replaces BAH when you are stationed overseas and live in private housing. Unlike BAH, it reimburses your actual rent up to a location cap, plus a utility allowance. It moves with currency exchange rates, so the dollar amount can change month to month even when your rent does not.

What goes wrong
Because OHA tracks exchange rates, small monthly changes are normal. A large jump or a sudden stop usually means your rent data or dependency data changed in the system. Keep your lease paperwork current with the housing office.
