What it is
BAS II is exactly double the standard enlisted BAS rate. It applies only to enlisted members assigned to government quarters that have no adequate food storage or preparation area and no access to a government dining facility. It is not automatic. Your command has to authorize it.
2026 rate
$953.90 per month, which is two times the 2026 enlisted BAS rate.
What goes wrong
If you qualify and it is missing, that is real money left on the table every month. If you receive it and your quarters situation changes, expect it to stop, and expect a debt letter if it keeps paying after you no longer qualify.
