What it is
Under the Blended Retirement System, the government automatically puts 1 percent of your basic pay into your TSP every month, even if you contribute nothing. This appears in the TSP block of the LES, not as a deduction, because it is the government's money going in for you.
2026 rate
1 percent of basic pay for BRS members.
What goes wrong
If you are BRS and this shows zero, your retirement plan coding is wrong in the system, and you are silently losing the match too. That is worth an immediate finance visit.
